SUBMISSION TO THE LAND MANAGEMENT (NATIVE VEGETATION) CODE 2018
MY SUBMISSION

Today, I’ve released my formal submission to Local Land Services, strongly opposing the Government’s proposed amendments to the Land Management (Native Vegetation) Code 2018.
I’m doing this not just to raise awareness of the proposed changes but to inspire local farmers to submit their own feedback and make their own voices heard.
I am working with my amazing team to have the submission uploaded to my website and will update you here when that is done.
However if you’re keen, email me and we’ll send it to you immediately: cootamundra@parliament.nsw.gov.au.
As the Member for one of the largest rural electorates in NSW, I know just how much our farmers take land stewardship seriously.
But these proposed amendments show a complete disconnect from the realities of life on the land and what’s worse is that the NSW Government has failed to properly consult the very people these changes will affect.
Over the past year, I’ve spent a lot of time in West Wyalong speaking to farmers who’ve been directly impacted by current land management rules. It’s those conversations which have sparked my deep concern about how these laws are affecting farming families, and they’ve only strengthened my resolve to speak up as the Government now proposes even tougher changes.
CALL TO ACTION
I’m asking local landholders to make their voices heard too!
I encourage you to copy/paste whatever parts of my submission you feel are relevant for your own - there’s no point in reinventing the wheel, we just need our voices heard loud and clear to a Minister that just does not care about our communities and our way of life.
Submissions close 1 August 2025. You can have your say by clicking on the below link.
