NSW PARLIAMENT

Steph Cooke MP

Since being elected in 2017, Steph continues to travel to Sydney to attend NSW Parliament sitting weeks.

This is an opportunity for Steph to raise with the members of parliament and the NSW Government on issues which are important to our region.

Question Time

To keep the Government accountable to the people of New South Wales, Members of Parliament are provided an opportunity to ask questions seeking information of Ministers without notice, this is known as Question Time. It is a very public means by which the House can scrutinise the administration of Government.

Community Recognition Statements

Each sitting week Steph has the opportunity to shine a light on some of our wonderful achievements throughout the electorate when she delivers or tables Community Recognition Statements. These short statements congratulate and acknowledge individuals or groups throughout the seat of small communities and their achievements.

Private Members Statements

Time is provided each sitting week for Steph to deliver a Private Members Statement on a matter of particular concern to the electorate.

Notice of Motion

Steph delivers a Notice of Motion each sitting week. Notices of motions alert the House and Members that a Member intends to move a motion that the House do something, order something to be done, or express an opinion on a matter.
