A TERRIFIC TIME AT THE TEMORA SHOW

The 2026 Temora Show has proven why it remains one of the region’s most treasured community events, drawing thousands to celebrate agriculture, local talent and country hospitality.
The day was filled with activities from livestock competitions and equestrian events to pavilion displays, family entertainment and community exhibits; this year’s show showcased the best of Temora.
Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke, said the strong turnout and local spirit shown throughout the day demonstrated the importance of ag shows across regional areas.
“It was fantastic to see people of all ages enjoying the attractions, supporting local exhibitors and catching up with friends and neighbours,” Ms Cooke said.
Ms Cooke congratulated all competitors and exhibitors who supported the show as well as the youth who competed to represent the region.
“Congratulations to Jorja Winfield, Ella Smith and Makaela Carless who entered the Young Woman Competition, and to Jorja for her win,” Ms Cooke said.
“Jorja will no doubt do her very best to represent everything that the Temora community stands for as she proceeds on to zone.”
Ms Cooke thanked the many volunteers and fantastic committee members who stepped up to ensure the day was the success it was.
“The success of the show is only possible because of the many volunteers who give their time throughout the year. Their determination guarantees this event continues to succeed.”
“I would like to sincerely thank and congratulate the Temora Show Committee and every volunteer involved in this year’s show,” she said.
“Organising an event of this size requires a lot of hours of planning and hard work. They should be extremely proud of what they have achieved. They have delivered a fantastic event.”
Secretary Sharon Beattie has been involved in the Temora Show since 2013 and is one of the amazing committee members who have thanked the rest of the team for the success of this year’s show.
“This is the first time this committee has come together to run the Show, they have been a great team,” Sharon said.
Sharon is very pleased with how the community welcomed some of the ideas the committee came up with.
“We had Kids Zone for free this year; that part was fantastic. It was great to have an area for the little kids to enjoy,” she said.
“The free laser tag for the teens was also widely welcomed, and the Tractor Pull was excellent entertainment.”
One of the day's special moments was honouring Karen Pellow for 50 years of service to the Show, who was running the Pavilion again this year.
“She had no idea it was coming,” Sharon said.
“From competing in the pavilion to judging, she has been very dedicated to the Show.”
The committee has welcomed feedback from attendees and feels positive about next year’s event, where they hope to draw an even bigger crowd and deliver fantastic entertainment for all ages.
