GRENFELL SHOWGROUND UPGRADES COMPLETED

Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke has welcomed the completion of upgrades to the Main Pavilion at Grenfell Showground thanks to funding under the NSW Government’s Showground Stimulus program.

Ms Cooke said the Grenfell Showground Reserve Land Managers received a total of $51,475 which was used to install soundproof ceiling, insulation and reverse cycle air conditioning in the Main Pavilion's supper room. 

“It is fantastic to see what has been achieved at this beautiful old pavilion, particularly for this work to have been made possible in a year where country shows were cancelled due to Covid-19,” Ms Cooke said.

Grenfell PAH&I Society Secretary Ms Lisa Eastaway said the project will be of benefit to all showground users, in addition to the Grenfell Show Society.

“The upgrades to our pavilion will make the facility much more comfortable to all community members who hire the facility throughout the year,” she said.
