JUNEE ROTARY CELEBRATES FUNDING BOOST

The community of Junee will further benefit from NSW Government funding with the Rotary Club of Junee successfully applying to the latest round of the NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants program.
Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke has welcomed $200,000 funding for the installation of audio visual equipment at their community meeting rooms.
“I know this is a project Junee Rotarians have been looking to tick-off for some time, so I am delighted they have been successful under this program,” Ms Cooke said.
"I spoke with Neil, the Rotary Club of Junee are using money to buy state of the art audio and visual equipment to be installed in each of the four rooms used by the community at the Junee ex services club.
There are dozens of different community groups that utilise the meeting rooms at the club at no charge the new equipment will provide the community with a space to go and attend to things such as zoom meetings for important meetings and conferences.

Rotary are now finding that they can access feeds from overseas and online training or conferences. National and international conferences.
Going to make a big difference to their national and international meetings. By attending these meetings they become aware of important projects nationally and internationally.
Ms Cooke said it was special to have welcomed this funding announcement as part of Junee Rotary’s Changeover Dinner.
“In particular for me to do so at an event where the service and commitment of our local Rotarians is being recognised.
“It was an extra special honour for me to also make a Toast to Rotary International as part of the day.”
The $12.5 million annual Infrastructure Grants program aims to fund projects to build or upgrade community facilities, and the latest round was one the largest yet in a response to weather events including drought, floods and bushfires, as well as the impact we have seen through COVID.
The program is made possible by Clubgrants Category 3, a fund which re-invests profits from registered clubs’ gaming machines into community projects.
