Coolamon Preschool is in line for a major upgrade, after $639,000 funding was announced for a new build.

The Member for Cootamundra today visited the Preschool to announce the funding, which has been secured as part of the NSW Government’s Start Strong Capital Works Grants Program.

Ms Cooke said this grant has come at an incredible time and will be appreciated by so many, especially as the drought continues to impact our communities.

“I’m so proud to be here today to celebrate this massive win, which will provide an incredible new facility for the children of Coolamon,” Ms Cooke said.

“Not only will the town have a new state-of-the-art preschool, the build will bring more work to the area during a time when communities are feeling the effects of our current conditions.”

Coolamon Preschool Association Director Corie Flanagan said everyone is incredibly excited about the new build.

“Improving the facility will make such a difference as we will be able to better support children of all ages and at various stages of development,” Mrs Flanagan said.

“Everybody is really excited about this and as a team, it will really help us too as we will have a staffroom and a washing machine on site.”

NSW families with young children will have improved access to early learning with $8.3 million in grants awarded through the Start Strong Capital Works Grants program.
