Ms Cooke said Tracey’s remarkable success and devotion to her sport had made her a deserving recipient for recognition in the NSW Parliament.

“Tracey has built an extraordinary sporting career founded on focus and discipline,” Ms Cooke said.

“It was a privilege to recognise her achievements in the NSW Parliament.”

Tracey’s most recent achievement came in March 2026 when she claimed the International Clay Target Shooting Federation Ladies World Championship in Christchurch, New Zealand.

“Tracey’s success on the world stage has put Harden and the wider Hilltops region firmly in the spotlight and demonstrates the outstanding talent that exists across the area,” Ms Cooke said.

“Tracey is not only an exceptional athlete but also a wonderful ambassador for clay target shooting, inspiring people of all ages to get involved in the sport.”

Ahead of her World Title win, Tracey also secured the New Zealand National Single Rise Championship and the New Zealand National Double Rise Championship, securing her standing as one of Australia’s premier clay target shooters.

In 2024, Tracey was inducted into the NSW Hall of Fame, joining family members who have also earned notable success in the sport.

Through her own experience and passion for sporting shooting, Tracey is encouraging other local women and young people to give the sport a go.

“Clay target shooting has given me opportunities to travel the world,” Tracey said.

“It’s a sport that welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. I would encourage anyone curious about the sport to get along to their local club and have a go.”

Tracey’s local club is the Boorowa Clay Target Club, which welcomes enquiries from people who are interested in the sport.

“You don’t have to come from a shooting background to get involved,” she said.

“There are experienced members willing to help newcomers, and many clubs offer opportunities to try the sport before committing to it.”

Tracey also felt humbled to have had her achievements acknowledged in the NSW Parliament.

“To receive that recognition and know my sporting journey's been noted is something I will always be proud of,” Tracey said.

Ms Cooke said the community is incredibly proud of Tracey, her accomplishments, and all she continues to do for the sport.

“I look forward to seeing what she achieves next as she continues to break new ground in her sport,” Ms Cooke said.
