Families attending Tresillian’s Cowra Centre will benefit from safer, more accessible parking and improved driveway access, following a $70,000 contribution from Richard Crookes Construction.

The funding has supported significant upgrades to the centre’s car park and entryway, enhancing safety and making arrivals easier for parents with babies, prams and young children.

The improvements will resolve previous access issues at the site, including vehicles such as Tresillian’s van becoming bogged.

The announcement follows Richard Crookes Construction’s completion of the $110 million Cowra Hospital redevelopment and reflects the company’s continued investment in the local community.

Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said the contribution demonstrates the power of strong partnerships between local organisations.

“Richard Crookes Construction has once again shown outstanding commitment to the Cowra community,” Ms Cooke said.

“This investment will make a meaningful difference to families accessing Tresillian’s essential services, ensuring they can arrive safely and confidently during what can be a vulnerable time in their lives.”

Tresillian CEO Rob Mills said the upgraded access would remove barriers for parents seeking help.

“We are incredibly grateful to Richard Crookes Construction, who generously donated $70,000,” Mr Mills said.

“Pushing a pram can be hard work at the best of times, but the development of a new parking lot and driveway will ease the burden on parents visiting Tresillian for advice and guidance on their baby.

“Parents often need advice and gentle guidance in the early years of their child’s life with issues such as their baby’s sleep routine, breastfeeding, toddler behaviour and importantly, their own mental health.”

Tresillian Cowra provides free consultations with qualified child and family health nurses, available both in person and virtually, as well as follow-up support and parenting education programs in partnership with the Western NSW Local Health District.

Families seeking support can contact Tresillian directly or speak with their local health provider for more information about available services.
