CELEBRATE THE FESTIVE SEASON AT MARRAR CHRISTMAS MARKETS

Wednesday, 4 November 2026
Residents across the Cootamundra electorate are invited to make the trip to Marrar this weekend and support the annual Marrar Christmas Markets and Tree Tagging Day.

The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, 7-8 November. It brings together local businesses, stallholders, families, and visitors for a weekend of festive fun.
Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said the event has become a special tradition for the area.
“The Marrar Christmas Markets are a great way to enjoy the festive season and support local businesses, artisans, and community groups,” Ms Cooke said. “Events like this matter to our small communities. They bring people together, attract visitors, and help local economies.”
The Tree Tagging event lets families join in a special community tradition and helps create a festive mood in the village as Christmas approaches.
“There’s something for everyone, from unique Christmas gifts and local products to food, entertainment, and the great community spirit Marrar is known for,” Ms Cooke said.
“I encourage everyone to drive out to Marrar this weekend, enjoy the markets, and support the organisers and businesses who work hard to make this event happen.”
Ms Cooke thanked the Marrar Community Association and all the volunteers who organised the weekend.
“Events like these wouldn’t be possible without dedicated volunteers. I thank everyone involved for making this a special event for local families and visitors,” Ms Cooke said.
