CLASS OF 2026 READY TO GRADUATE ACROSS THE ELECTORATE

Year 12 students across the electorate will graduate from high school this week as they prepare for life after school. 

Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke is wishing them all the best in whatever direction they take and is sorry to miss the graduation events because of a sitting week in Parliament in Sydney.

“I wish I could be there to congratulate everyone in person,” Ms Cooke said. “Every student should be incredibly proud of all that they have accomplished and all they have done to get to this moment.”

Students will now either prepare for the Higher School Certificate, which begins in October, enter the workforce, or move on to further studies.

“The graduation of the class of 2026 marks a milestone, not only for students and their families, but for schools, communities and the future of our region,” Ms Cooke said.

“Graduating represents the countless hours of study, the support of teachers and school staff and the encouragement of family and friends along the way.

“While pathways may differ, the skills developed through education, including critical thinking, communication and teamwork, will continue to serve these young people throughout their lives.”

School communities across the electorate will come together over the coming days to celebrate these students' achievements and the dedication they have given to their schooling.

“Congratulations to the class of 2026. I wish you every success as you enter the next chapter of your lives and look forward to witnessing everything you achieve,” Ms Cooke said.
