PARK TRANSFORMED INTO ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND

Tuesday, 30 July 2024

Temora’s Bradley Park will be transformed into a must-visit adventure playground following a soon to be completed revitalisation project, which the Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke explained, will complement a number of park upgrades in the town.

Ms Cooke joined with Temora Shire Council Mayor Cr Rick Firman and other community members for a sneak peak of the project, which has been made possible thanks to a $345,000 investment by the previous NSW Coalition Government.

“The new-look Bradley Park will be a wonderful asset for Temora, and importantly has received the tick of approval from the younger members of the community who came along to give the new equipment a test-run ahead of its official opening in a few months’ time,” Ms Cooke said.

“In close consultation with the community, the park has been designed to incorporate the nearby surroundings to create a nature-based adventure and water play area that can be enjoyed for years to come,” she said.

During the proceedings Ms Cooke acknowledged the hard work and dedication of members of the council, and the community, in bringing the project to life.

“It takes a long time and a lot of effort to pull projects like this together, so I congratulate Temora Shire Council, along with council staff, and those in the community who continue to work together to build the facility we see taking shape here today,” Ms Cooke said.

“This project has revitalised Bradley Park and when complete, will allow members of the community, along with visitors to the area, to enjoy a modern facility that promotes an active lifestyle,” she said.

Ms Cooke said the new-look Bradley Park will complement the nearby Federal Park, and Temora West Park – both also having recently undergone upgrades.

“Residents in the towns and villages across our entire electorate are so passionate about finding ways to enhance their communities, and I applaud projects like these that represent a long-term vision for the future of Temora,” Ms Cooke said.
